Steps to qualify for surgery
All surgical missions are scheduled in advance. To qualify for one, follow these steps:
- 1
General Outpatient Consultation
The patient must attend the General Outpatient Clinic for triage. You can request an appointment by phone at +502 7832-0883 or come to the hospital for a number; numbers are handed out starting at 7:00 a.m.
- 2
Personal documents
Present personal identification (DPI or birth certificate) at the admissions window.
- 3
Specialist appointment
If referred to a Specialist, the specialty outpatient secretary will schedule your appointment based on availability.
- 4
Pre-operative evaluation
If you are over 40 or have chronic illnesses, you will be evaluated by our Internist, who performs the pre-operative assessment and approves the operation.
- 5
Surgery scheduling
You will be referred to a surgical mission if — and only if — you meet the health conditions required for surgery. A date is assigned according to the mission waiting list.
Patients undergo a socioeconomic assessment to determine the donation amount for their surgery.
